School Story:
I recall John Glenn's earth orbit 50 years ago. I found the possibilities of that so intriguing that I cut classes that day. After a brief interlude when TV's were available for all of us to watch this event, we were told to return to our classes. I decided that what was being televised was far more interesting and significant than what was going on in the classroom. I spent the better part of that day watching for updates and analysis of Glenn's flight. As I recall, Albert Senft(sp) was none too pleased with my independent behavior. So much so, that my Dad had to come in with me the next day to hear of my wayward ways.
