Richard, my good and close friend, your departure has made the world a little lonelier. How lucky for you, at least, that you passed away peacefully.  I knew you were foremost a family man and, while not knowing your sons and grandchildren, my heartfelt condolences are extended to them and your beloved wife Barbara.  I will miss our intellectual discussions on our life experiences, aging, health, politics, travel, mortality, family and friendship.  Celebrating your life is all we have left to do, but you will ALWAYS be missed while you live on in our hearts.

My dear friend Richard, You are one of the kindest, funniest, wonderful friends I have had since Sunday School and my second favorite dance partner after Stinz of course. I was so honored to be the first woman you asked to interview for your beautiful podcast, The Reluctant Senior. You would find me to much more reluctant now lol. Please put me on your dance card. You will be missed by so many, you are loved by so many. I remember you and Barbara falling in love at our reunion! What a gift that was, and who knew a reunion could bring that much joy! Condolences to you Barbara and the kids. We will laugh together again my beautiful friend who loved me no matter what and there were a lot of whatsheart
