Dave was one of 5 or 6 of us  that hung out  during. School. We lost contact when he went to college, got married,  and I went into the Navy.

The last time I saw Dave, I had gone back to school at Miani after the Navy, in 67,  and went down to visit Ray Schloss at Ft Knox, in Kentucky. Ray was finishing up Armor School and was soon to go to Germany. . We ran into Dave in one ot the Bat. Offices, I guess. He had received orders for the Nam, and was finishing up his affairs at Knox. We had a brief meet and greet, hand shakes, and  he said goodby, and headed out the door.

Not much was said for all the time we all had spent together during School. But then again, time had passed, and his was now a different mission.  Will not forget that door closing . Final view.  You never know.

I have visited him at " The Wall ".  Always an emotional event, even after all these years.
