In Memory

Eileen Williams (Knavel)

It is with sadness that I share with you the passing of our classmate and friend, Eileen Williams Knavel, on October 10, 2023, due to complications of COVID-19. Eileen was predeceased by her husband, Randy Knavel,  a Shaker '60 grad, years ago. She leaves behind a son, Randy, a daughter Kelley, and 6 grandchildren. Eileen was devoted to those grandchildren and they to her. She had recently moved to Brunswick, GA. from Vermillion, OH. to be with her family.

Eileen will be remembered fondly by all who knew her. She was a teacher, a skilled gardener, a lover of horses, and a treasured friend.

May she rest in peace.

Sadly I don't think I knew Eileen.  I do extend sympathy to her family and friends.

One of the negatives of being older, of course, is that we do see many of our former classmates leave us.  I would suggest that a Yearbook photo and, if available, a recent photo of our dear departed classmate be provided in the notice.  May they Rest in Peace.

Eileen and I had been in touch for many years ago but not recently. Our parents were good friends and I remember Eileen as a fun loving gal in high school and then a devoted wife to her husband, Randy, helping him through a dementing illness (I think he had Frontal Temporal Dementia). We spoke more often back then as I was coping with my husband, Dave's Alzheimer's disease. May Eioleen, Randy and my husband Dave rest in peace.
